Audio Physic was established back in 1985 by Joachim Gerhard and Willi Hegener, in Germany. At the time, the high-fidelity industry was only just beginning to blossom, and many of the loudspeakers available on the market at the time did not provide the level of quality, that most audiophiles of the era were seeking. By utilizing the finest drivers that were available at the time, with his own enclosure and crossover designs, Gerhard introduced the company’s first hi-fi loudspeaker, which was sold exclusively through Hegener hi-fi shop.

Today, the chief developer of Audio Physic loudspeakers is Manfred Diestertich. Each of the products sold by Audio Physic is manufactured by hand in Brilon, Germany, with the finest of materials sourced from local manufacturers. All of their speaker enclosures are carefully tested and measured by hand before being packaged and distributed to retailers around the globe. Special care and attention are taken to ensure that every unit produced lives up to the level of quality expected by its founder and customers.
